Gifted learners are defined as learners who have considerable strengths in one or more subjects in the curriculum other than Art and Design, Music and P.E.

Talented learners are those who have abilities in Art and Design, Music, P.E. or in performance arts such as drama or dance.

Gifted and talented learners will be identified by those staff assessing girls during their welcome day visit and also as a result of communications from a girl’s former school.

We recognise that it is important for these pupils to work at an accelerated pace and in a wide variety of settings using a range of resources. Studies for these pupils will include enrichment activities to give them an increased breadth and depth of understanding, extension study material to develop knowledge or open ended tasks to challenge and increase problem solving abilities.
