St Teresa’s Preparatory School first opened its doors in 1953 in Grove House on Guildford Rd in Effingham.

Indeed, Grove House remained the main building of the much bigger school which St Teresa’s Nursery and Prep became, until January 2009 when the whole school moved to brand – new, purpose- built premises on a self-contained site on the 48 acre Senior School site one and a quarter miles away in Beech Avenue.

Now the school can spread out and enjoy customised facilities, an on site indoor swimming pool complex, Astroturf, Chapel and a new theatre building complete with recording studio, music technology suites and a 750 seater theatre with industry standard lighting and sound!
