A balanced Physical Education programme offers all pupils opportunities to participate in gymnastics, games, athletics, swimming and dance. Everyone is encouraged to take part in the sporting activities of the school, at the same time developing an awareness and interest in fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
Our sports facilities include a well-equipped gym, a small hall, netball and tennis courts, playing field with rounders pitches and athletics track and a new indoor swimming pool.
A PE specialist for the primary age group teaches all classes from Nursery to Year 6. Throughout the curriculum, girls attain various awards in gymnastics, games, swimming and athletics.

Netball is the main competitive sport during the winter terms, fielding U10 and U11 teams. Both teams participate in several netball tournaments in addition to a full fixtures programme against other schools.
Rounders is the summer game and St. Teresa's hosts an annual U11 Rounders tournament in June for local schools.
Sporting competition is encouraged through Inter-House tournaments in netball and rounders. Two Sports days are held every summer term for Pre-prep and Prep departments.
All pupils from Reception to Year 6 are taught swimming in the new indoor pool. Swimming teams compete in local galas and we also participate in the Bazuka Championships.
Extra-curricular sports activities include netball, rounders and tennis squads, gym club and athletics club. Judo and Dance are offered by visiting coaches.
Pupils in Year 5 and 6 take part in outdoor and adventurous activities during their annual trips to Osmington Bay and to France, where they enjoy activities such as climbing, abseiling tunneling and quad-biking.
